Introducing Lucy Mulvagh, the New CEO of Disability Equality Scotland

A welcome graphic from Disability Equality Scotland featuring the organisation’s logo and the text: “Welcome! Lucy Mulvagh, Chief Executive Officer.” On the right-hand side is a circular portrait photo of Lucy smiling, resting her chin on her hand and wearing glasses and a blue jumper. The design uses pink and dark blue shapes on a light grey background.

We are delighted to welcome Lucy Mulvagh as the new Chief Executive Officer of Disability Equality Scotland!

Lucy joins us from the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE), bringing a strong background in policy, research and championing the voices of disabled people.

Speaking about starting in the role, Lucy said:

“I am incredibly proud to have joined Disability Equality Scotland at such an important time. What has already stood out to me is the passion, expertise and commitment across the organisation, our members and Access Panels.

I am looking forward to listening, learning and working together to challenge barriers and influence change. I am also excited to begin meeting and connecting with disabled people, organisations and partners across Scotland as we continue working towards a more inclusive and accessible society.”

We are excited for this new chapter and look forward to working with Lucy as we continue striving for equality, inclusion and accessibility across Scotland.
